General Motors is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead integration and verification of software builds for development and production. You will coordinate with supplier software groups, resolve delivery issues, and help prepare software for production release, while mentoring engineers and promoting best practices.
The role emphasizes technical leadership in advanced technology development and hands-on work with RTOS, real-time embedded systems, and instrument tools
Integration and verification of software build to produce software releases for development and production usage. Single point contact to supplier’s software group work with supplied to establish delivery content schedules and resolve issues. Assist in the development of software content and anomaly corrections. Actively manages controller resources escalates and engages SMEs for resolution if necessary. Prepare software for production release. Provide technical leadership for advance technology development and stays abreast of new technology debugging and instrumentation tools microprocessors and software development processes. Foster and document best practices to ensure high quality deliverables and reduce development lead time. Train develop mentor and evaluate technical capability of team members.
Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.
Five (5) year of experience as a Senior Technical Embedded Software Engineering, Technical Leader, Project Lead, Senior Software Engineer, or related occupation.
OR Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.
Two (2) year of experience as a Senior Technical Embedded Software Engineering, Technical Leader, Project Lead, Senior Software Engineer, or related occupation.
