Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Pontiac, MI, to design, develop, implement and test low-level embedded software for automotive ECUs. The role requires RTOS expertise, AUTOSAR experience, and hands-on MCAL work with multi-core MCUs.

A hybrid work policy applies, with three days onsite and two days remote. You will perform tests and code reviews to ensure compliance with stringent specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; five years embedded software experience.
• Master's degree with three years embedded software experience.
• Experience with AUTOSAR, MCAL, RTOS and multi-core MCUs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize MCAL configuration tool to generate software and hand-code.

Utilize MCAL configuration tool to generate software and hand-code. Design and execute tests to ensure compliance with the component technical requirements. Provide independent review of software written by others. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.**REQUIREMENTS:** Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer, Validation Engineer, or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer, Validation Engineer, or related occupation.
