Job summary

LiveView Technologies (LVT) is seeking a Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead the architecture and hands-on implementation of our next-generation embedded camera ecosystem. You will own device firmware, encoding, storage, streaming, and analytics, collaborating with hardware, cloud, and product teams.

The role supports remote work or on-site presence at HQ in Utah or Seattle, with regular travel to American Fork, Utah, and JDM partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years total experience in embedded software leadership.
• Strong expertise in embedded Linux environments (BSP, drivers, HAL, bootloaders).
• Proficient in C/C++ and comfortable with Go as a plus.
• Experience with Yocto distributions and edge devices.
• Background in video processing (H.264/H.265) and streaming.
• Proven ability to lead within a JDM framework and manage vendor partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive architectural decisions for embedded camera platforms and edge devices.
• Govern software for edge encoding, storage, streaming, and retrieval.
• Serve as technical authority in a Joint Design Manufacturing model with cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with TPMs and Hardware/PM teams to ensure cohesive product delivery from edge to cloud.
• Mentor engineers and drive reviews, schedules, and technical excellence.
• Direct on-camera analytics integration and deployment of Edge AI models.
