Job summary

LiveView Technologies is hiring a Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer to own the architecture and hands-on development of our video streaming edge devices. You will drive architectural decisions and collaborate with hardware, cloud, and product teams to deliver scalable edge solutions.

You will lead and mentor engineers, optimize on-device analytics, and guide JDM partnerships to ensure robust, future-ready platforms for our security and safety products.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of total experience with a track record in embedded software leadership.
• Deep expertise in embedded Linux and Yocto-based builds for edge devices.
• Expert C/C++ development, with Go as a plus.
• Proven debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive architectural decisions for embedded camera platforms across edge and cloud.
• Govern software on edge devices including encoding, storage, streaming, and retrieval.
• Serve as the primary technical authority in a JDM model with external partners.
• Collaborate with Hardware, PM, and other software teams to deliver cohesive products.
• Lead architecture reviews, schedule planning, and mentor engineers to raise the team’s technical floor.
• Direct the integration of edge analytics and AI model deployment on SoCs.
