Job summary

Seagate Technology seeks a Servo Architecture Development Engineer to design and implement real-time embedded firmware for HDD systems. You will develop advanced electronics architecture to support next-generation areal density and performance, while solving multidisciplinary technical problems.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in embedded engineering (or 6+ with MS, 3+ with PhD), strong MATLAB skills, and proven teamwork and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 8+ years (or MS with 6+; PhD with 3+).
• Experience in embedded systems, real-time computing, and MATLAB.
• Strong teamwork and communication; leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time embedded firmware for new electronics and HDD systems.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement HDD solutions addressing design problems.
• Participate in Servo Product Development, Technology Development Projects, and reliability testing.
• Perform design validation and verification.
• Contribute to Multi-actuator/Parallelism initiatives.
