Job summary

ASD is seeking a Principal Engineer for Embedded Cryptographic Software in San Diego. You will design, develop, integrate and test cryptographic embedded software for end-user customers in an Agile environment.

You will work with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware and Integration & Test to ensure robust real-time performance. The role requires a strong background in C/C++, cryptographic mechanisms, and embedded Linux environments, with on-site work at Rancho Carmel, San Diego.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or STEM with 5 years of related experience, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year
• Active US Government Secret Clearance required
• Proficient in C/C++
• Familiarity with HAIPE, OTNK, and/or IKE
• Experience implementing cryptographic mechanisms using libraries
• Experience with Yocto/Petalinux or WindRiver Linux
• Experience with Xilinx platforms
• Experience with TCP/IP and network configurations
• Proficient in the software lifecycle from requirements to testing
• Experience integrating low-level firmware into real-time embedded apps
• Experience with Jira/Bitbucket/Git and Agile
• Ability to work full-time onsite at Rancho Carmel, San Diego

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and test cryptographic embedded software for end-user and business customers
• Architect, develop and administer embedded RT systems
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware and Test in an Agile environment
