Job summary

RTX’s Collins Product Cybersecurity team seeks a Principal Embedded System Security Engineer to support DoD and international programs from Marlborough, MA. The role requires deep security analysis, architecture reviews, and vulnerability assessment for aerospace systems.

As part of a collaborative engineering culture, you will contribute to certification activities, design reviews, and test and evaluation, ensuring robust protection of sensitive defense systems while staying ahead of evolving

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• U.S. citizenship is required and active SECRET clearance before start date.
• Experience applying RMF to mission systems in DoD environments.
• Strong writing skills for security documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support system certification and accreditation efforts including RMF ATO.
• Analyze requirements and identify potential security vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to security design discussions with cross-functional teams.
• Integrate security considerations into system design with engineers.
• Maintain awareness of evolving threats and best practices.
• Participate in Security focused System Verification and Validation and write test plans.
