Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Sr. Embedded Systems Security Engineer to support DoD programs and international customers. You will apply RMF and cryptographic certifications, decompose requirements, and collaborate with systems, software and hardware teams to build secure flight-critical systems.

The role requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of experience, U.S. citizenship, and an active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in STEM and 5+ years in security engineering for embedded/defense systems.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
• Active SECRET DoD clearance or ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform RMF ATO and NSA Type 1 certification activities with documentation.
• Decompose and allocate cybersecurity requirements across system components.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
• Lead security inputs for design reviews and document risks and status.
• Coordinate with engineers to integrate security requirements into designs.
• Develop and execute security-focused verification and validation tests.
• Coordinate cybersecurity activities across teams and report findings.
• Assess threats and industry practices to evaluate impact on architectures.
