Job summary

Silvus Technologies in West Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Senior Embedded Security Engineer to design and implement Linux-based security for embedded systems and lead security assessments. The role is hybrid with at least three days on-site weekly.

You will protect embedded platforms, perform kernel hardening, and manage vulnerabilities while collaborating with the Software Engineering team. U.S. citizenship and SECRET clearance are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of networking products embedded software development experience OR 10 years in Linux security/embedded systems security.
• Proficiency in embedded C/C++ for Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Linux-based security for embedded systems (secure boot, kernel hardening).
• Conduct security assessments of Linux-based embedded systems to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
• Manage vulnerabilities including timely patching and kernel updates for Linux embedded systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
