Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Sr. Embedded Security Engineer for Starlink to influence security across software products, with emphasis on cryptography, OS security, and network security.

You will work with engineering teams to design secure infrastructure and components for satellites, gateways, and factory processes. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in security software development, and strong skills in Python, C++, or Golang, plus knowledge of security hardware like TPMs/HSMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM with 5+ years in security software development; or 7+ years without a degree.
• Experience with Python, C++, or Golang.
• Experience designing security for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infra.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services.
• Develop security features for Starlink systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites).
• Design security into factory processes and provide network services.
• Maintain production systems and improve security posture.
• Build prototypes and test security improvements.
• Advance secure and reliable Internet access for communities.
