Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment seeks a senior embedded cybersecurity engineer in Sunnyvale, CA to own security across complex embedded products. You will shape architecture, security standards, and long-term engineering direction for GNSS-enabled devices, collaborating with embedded engineering, platform, product and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Strong cybersecurity principles in embedded or device-level software.
• Knowledge of network protocols and connectivity.
• Extensive experience with C and C++ in embedded software.
• Hands-on RTOS experience with scheduling, concurrency, synchronization.
• Experience with Embedded Linux or similar Linux-based platforms.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop security architecture and safeguards for embedded devices using GNSS and positioning tech.
• Evaluate vulnerabilities and guide mitigations across embedded software and device systems.
• Translate security requirements into practical product designs with stakeholders.
• Define software architecture across embedded environments and evolve it over time.
• Support secure communication between devices, backend platforms, and infrastructure.
• Serve as senior technical resource for embedded cybersecurity decisions and reviews.
