Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and minimum of 5 years relevant experience or equivalent
• Demonstrated proficiency designing well-architected software systems
• Experience leading complex software projects and decomposing requirements into tasks
• Proficient in C, C++, C#, or Java with strong OO design and data structures

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C, C++, Python, Assembly for Garmin products
• Review software architectures and improve security, reliability, and performance
• Own security-critical software components including hardware roots of trust and cryptographic functions
• Decompose requirements into engineering tasks and drive risk-based remediation
• Perform peer reviews focusing on security weaknesses and regulatory concerns
• Develop automated security, robustness, penetration and fuzzing tests
• Support cybersecurity regulatory compliance activities and risk assessments
