Sargent & Greenleaf Inc seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (Embedded Systems) to design, develop, and support high-security lock systems. You will drive hardware-software integration, including firmware, PCBs, and mobile-cloud connectivity, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes ownership across the product lifecycle, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in ground-up development of embedded electronics.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Java, C#, .NET, Python, and embedded tools for firmware development.
• Expertise in electro-mechanical principles, microcontrollers, RTOS, FPGA, and hardware/software integration.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle, Lean Six Sigma, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded systems for electro-mechanical high-security locks, including software, firmware, hardware integration and testing.
• Create and maintain schematics, PCB layouts, firmware code, and user documentation.
• Integrate electronic systems with mobile apps (iOS/Android) and cloud platforms for remote access and syncing.
• Support production with cross-functional collaboration for process improvements.
• Provide field service support and resolve issues for deployed locks.
• Lead small teams, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate with suppliers.
