Job summary

Treeswift is hiring a senior embedded software engineer to advance robot software on Linux-based systems. You will drive on-device capabilities, logs, and a scalable field-to-cloud data pipeline to support a growing customer base.

Expect close collaboration with hardware teams, strong C++/Python usage, and ROS 2 experience. This is a hybrid role with 2–3 days in the office in New York or Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years writing software for Linux in embedded systems.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python.
• ROS 2 experience preferred.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, unit tests and bench testing.

Responsibilities

• Increase on-device or near real-time capabilities for operator experience.
• Develop logs and diagnostics to improve reliability at scale.
• Optimize field-to-cloud data pipeline for large user bases.
• Upgrade robot software and deploy fleet upgrades.
• Support hardware evolutions and sensor integration.
• Serve as escalation point for embedded issues with customers.
