Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and integrate high-performance embedded real-time software on heterogeneous platforms, including processors and FPGAs. Work with a cross-functional team to ensure reliability and performance for DoD systems in Newport, RI.

A Secret clearance and a STEM background are required. The role offers relocation assistance, parental leave, flexible schedules, educational assistance, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years; or 9 years if no degree.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance on day one.
• Experience in Embedded C/C++ Software, High Performance Computer Systems, Embedded Real-Time Sensors/Control Applications, Software Architecture Design/Implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, debug and integrate high performance embedded real-time software within heterogeneous systems with multiple processor types and FPGAs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to test contributions and analyze performance.
• Travel up to 15%.
