Job summary

Leidos Maritime Systems Division is seeking an experienced software engineer with embedded software architecture, real-time systems, and Linux expertise. C, C++, and VHDL experience are required, with knowledge of Rust, Python, and JavaScript beneficial.

The role involves contributing to the C4I Prototype and working in an Agile, collaborative environment. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing, documentation, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 4+ years experience or MS with 2+ years.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Proven experience across all phases of software engineering.
• Experience with C, C++, VHDL, Linux.
• Real-time software development experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration.
• Ability to envisage business and technical vision.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, software development, integration and test, documentation, and maintenance.
• Develop software architectures to support migration of timing-critical applications to new hardware configurations.
• Software implementation and unit testing to meet customer objectives.
• CI/CD pipeline support.
• Mentoring of junior engineers.
