Job summary

Leidos’ Maritime Systems Division seeks an experienced software engineer skilled in embedded software architecture, design, implementation, and integration of real-time systems. Proficiency in C, C++, and VHDL with knowledge of Linux is required; Rust, Python, and JavaScript are beneficial.

The role covers the full software lifecycle, architecture development for timing-critical migrations, and CI/CD pipeline support, with mentoring responsibilities for junior engineers.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required and a security clearance may be required.
• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 4+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 2+ years.
• Experience in embedded/real-time software development and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of the software development lifecycle for complex systems.
• Design software architectures to migrate timing-critical apps to new hardware.
• Implement software and unit test to meet customer objectives.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and mentor junior engineers.
