Job summary

L3Harris Missile Solutions seeks a Sr. Specialist Software Engineer in Canoga Park, CA to lead embedded real-time control and application software supporting space and defense propulsion systems.

You will guide all phases of the software lifecycle, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and mentor engineers while developing high‑reliability systems for national security and space missions. A security clearance will be pursued as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; 6+ years experience; or Graduate Degree with 4+ years experience; or 10+ years experience in lieu of degree.
• 6+ years embedded real-time software and/or tool development experience.
• Experience with C/C++, C#, SQL; knowledge of real-time OS environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development team for embedded real-time control and/or application software.
• Coordinate requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit testing and integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive adherence to engineering standards and processes.
• Support program milestone reviews and risk mitigation.
