Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Senior Associate, Software Engineering to design and develop mission-critical software infrastructure in our System Software group. The role focuses on embedded real-time development and cross-functional collaboration to meet national security needs.

You will work across Windows, Linux, and embedded RTOS environments, contributing from requirements through testing while advancing performance and reliability of defense systems in Salt Lake City, UT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 3–4 years of professional software development experience using object-oriented programming.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect next-generation, mission-critical software infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces for software and hardware components.
• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Contribute to software test plans, procedures, and documentation.
• Demonstrate depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution.
• Engage in peer reviews and defect tracking/resolution.
• Utilize Windows, Linux, and embedded RTOS targets for development.
