Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Software Engineering in Salt Lake City to design, code, test and update embedded real-time systems for defense communications across multiple platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE and minimum 6 years of experience; Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
• Proficient with object oriented C++
• Experience in embedded systems design, including use of an RTOS

Responsibilities

• Contribute to lifecycle of embedded real-time systems by designing, coding, testing, debugging, and updating developmental and fielded systems
• Maintain and review requirements, design documentation and source code
• Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team
• Contributes to the development of technical responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by providing effort estimation, rationale (basis of estimate), and risk analysis based on Statements of Work (SOWs)
• Works mostly autonomously and mentors junior engineers
• Ability to obtain and retain a security clearance is required for this job posting
