Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City is seeking a Senior Specialist, Software Engineering to lead embedded software for resilient communications. You will drive features from requirements through production, collaborating with systems engineering and program leadership in a fast-paced defense environment.

The role requires strong C++ OO development, real-time Linux or VxWorks, and multi-threaded programming with a focus on performance and reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or related field with 6+ years of software engineering experience.
Master’s degree with 4+ years in related field.
Experience with C++ object-oriented development.
Embedded real-time software development in Linux or VxWorks.
High-performance, multi-threaded programming.
Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. security clearance.
Strong collaboration across engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

Develop software for embedded devices and systems from requirements through production.
Lead significant software features, integrations, and technical execution across the life cycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design and interfaces.
Support SDLC phases including analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing.
Contribute to test plans and documentation; participate in peer reviews.
