Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City seeks a Senior Specialist in Software Engineering to build foundational systems within our System Software group. You will develop embedded real-time software across Windows, Linux and RTOS targets to support defense and intelligence platforms.

Strong C++, multi-threaded programming, and experience with VxWorks are required. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the lifecycle, contribute to test plans, and help define core software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree with 4+ years; in lieu of a degree, 10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded real-time software for system software group.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance requirements and integrate hardware and software components.
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Contribute to software test plans, procedures, and relevant documentation.
• Demonstrate depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution.
• Participate in peer reviews, identify and repair defects.
• Use Windows, Linux and embedded RTOS targets in development.
