Job summary

Mach Industries, a defense technology company in Huntington Beach, CA, seeks a Sr Embedded Software Engineer to advance RF sensing capabilities for autonomous defense platforms. You will design, implement and optimize low-latency radar software from board bring-up to production deployment.

The role requires hands-on experience with C/C++, RTOS or bare-metal environments, and collaboration across hardware and software teams to meet mission-critical requirements. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing embedded software for radar, RF sensing, signal processing, wireless or aerospace products.
• Proficiency in low level C/C++ for embedded systems with clean, well-tested code.
• Experience with RTOS or bare-metal in memory constrained environments.
• Ability to read schematics and bring-up new boards and processors, including peripherals/drivers from scratch.
• Deep understanding of SPI, I2C, UART, CAN and Ethernet communications.
• Strong performance optimization for real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Build next generation counter-UAV defense systems through embedded software on radar platforms.
• Write high-performance, well-tested production code in C/C++ across MCUs and multi-core processors.
• Develop and maintain radar signal processing pipelines for real-time performance.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on board bring-up and hardware/software trade-offs.
• Develop functional and lab tests to validate new features and software quality.
• Maintain software reliability and document issues and fixes.
• Contribute to project planning and communicate risks and blockers.
• Author software specifications and architecture documentation for manufacturing.
