Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Services Software Team. You will develop software for defense applications in a Linux environment using C++ and Java, pursuing rapid prototyping and delivering robust solutions.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, participate in design reviews, and contribute to DevOps improvements while traveling up to 15% as needed to support mission-critical work.

Formación

• Experience developing in modern programming languages (C++, Java) in a Linux environment.
• Rapid prototyping and development of software solutions.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in requirements, design, development and testing of software.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
• Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
• Follow established development practices and processes to maintain configuration management.
• Participate in the advancement of the software development environment and DevOps practices.
• Design and develop innovative solutions for communication, navigation, radar and electronic warfare applications.
• Derive requirements for new concepts and systems from overall project goals.
• Develop, champion and pursue new approaches and solutions.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to identify and implement innovative solutions.
• Create and deliver technical presentations that articulate design approaches.
• Support assigned tasks with accountability for technical execution, cost, schedule, and manufacturability targets.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.
