Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Embedded Operating System Software Developer – Level 3 or 4 to join our Linthicum, MD team. Work on embedded sensor systems using C, C++, Python within a Yocto build environment. You'll participate in all SDLC phases, reviews, and cross-functional Scrum teams.

Role requires understanding requirements, strong debugging, and collaboration in an agile setting. Onsite 100%, with possible clearance requirements and US citizenship.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/SE or STEM with 5+ years embedded real-time development.
Master’s degree in CS/CE/SE with 3 years embedded real-time development.
PhD in CS/CE/SE with 1 year embedded real-time development.
US Citizenship required; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded real-time software in a Yocto environment.
Review software designs and related technical documents; participate in cross-functional scrum teams.
Collaborate on sensor command and control systems and test equipment emulation across Space platforms.
