Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Site Manager platform powering Supercharger infrastructure. You will develop user-space applications on an embedded Linux gateway, connecting cloud services with embedded controllers and charging infrastructure.

The role emphasizes distributed IoT environments, production-grade Golang/C++/Rust experience, and collaboration across firmware, validation, and hardware teams. Remote collaboration and NPI work are expected.

Qualifications

4+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong experience developing applications on embedded Linux platforms.
Production-level proficiency in Golang, C++, or Rust.
Experience building software that interfaces between devices and cloud services (IoT).
Experience working with embedded systems and communicating with MCU-based devices.
Background at a large tech company.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain applications running on an embedded Linux platform for Supercharger sites.
Design and build software that interfaces between cloud services and embedded MCU-based controllers.
Develop microservices supporting site-level charging operations and infrastructure management.
Collaborate with firmware, validation, and hardware teams to deliver new charging products and features.
Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts for Superchargers and future charging technologies.
Debug, test, and optimize software deployed across large-scale charging networks.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and software quality initiatives.
