Job summary

System One seeks an Advanced Software Engineer for Linux Application Development in Scottsdale, AZ on a contract basis. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software for cryptographic and cross-domain solutions, with a hybrid onsite/remote work model.

Candidates should have 5+ years of software engineering experience or a master\’s with 3+ years, an active Secret clearance, and proven Linux development for embedded systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience is acceptable.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• Experience developing Linux applications for embedded systems.
• Proficiency debugging Linux applications and embedded Linux solutions.
• Familiarity with Vitis/Petalinux/Xilinx SoC is a plus.
• Experience with Docker and Podman on Linux and Wind River Linux is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for cryptographic and cross-domain solutions for the Crypto and Cross Domain Solutions team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions and troubleshoot issues.
• Apply technical standards and methodologies to solve complex challenges creatively.
• Propose high-quality, high-performing solutions with embedded Linux development expertise.
• Debug Linux applications for embedded systems and implement improvements.
• Leverage Vitis/Petalinux/Xilinx SoC experience to enhance system performance.
• Contribute to continuous process and technology improvements in a team environment.
