Acara Solutions is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to develop Linux-based cryptographic and Cross Domain Solutions software for embedded platforms in Scottsdale, AZ with remote/hybrid options. You will design, implement, and verify secure Linux applications while collaborating with hardware, cybersecurity, and systems teams on mission-critical national security programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a STEM field with relevant experience.
5+ years developing software for Linux-based platforms.
3+ years developing embedded Linux applications.
3+ years in architecture, design, development, debugging, and integration.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Linux-based applications for embedded cryptographic systems.
Support full SDLC activities including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment.
Develop secure, high-performance applications for embedded Linux environments.
Collaborate with hardware, systems, and cybersecurity teams to integrate software solutions.
Troubleshoot and debug complex software and embedded system issues.
Develop and implement innovative solutions while following standards and best practices.
Participate in Agile activities including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend architectural enhancements.
