What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Linux-based applications for embedded cryptographic systems.
• Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, and deployment.
• Develop secure, high-performance applications for embedded Linux environments.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and cybersecurity teams to integrate software solutions into advanced platforms.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex software and embedded system issues.
• Develop and implement innovative technical solutions while adhering to software engineering standards and best practices.
• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.

Job Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing software applications for Linux-based platforms.
• 3+ years of experience developing embedded Linux applications.
• 3+ years of experience with software architecture, design, development, debugging, and integration activities.

• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Experience developing and supporting secure software solutions.
• Strong understanding of software engineering methodologies, coding standards, and development best practices.
• Experience developing Linux applications for embedded systems.
• Strong embedded Linux debugging and troubleshooting expertise.
• Experience designing high-performance software solutions with minimal oversight.
• Experience with Xilinx technologies including Vitis, Petalinux, Zynq UltraScale+, or Versal platforms.
• Experience supporting Software Defined Radio (SDR) or satellite-based applications.
• Knowledge of Secure Red/Black Separation architectures and secure communications systems.
• Experience using Docker, Podman, or other containerization technologies within Linux environments.
• Experience with Wind River Linux or similar embedded operating systems.
• Strong technical leadership skills and ability to mentor others.
• Passion for technology innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ability to identify opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools to improve software quality and engineering productivity.
