Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a hands-on Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack on our MK2 drone platform (Qualcomm QRB5165). You will build the OS, keep it secure, and ship it through automated CI/CD pipelines.

This role requires deep work in Yocto BitBake, headless hardware, and low-level OS internals. You will write recipes, patches, and post-process scripts, optimize builds, and harden the system for production deployments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining embedded Linux OS with Yocto.
• Familiarity with QA, security hardening, and image provisioning.
• Experience with CI/CD for embedded firmware builds.
• Ability to optimize build pipelines and reduce build times.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack for MK2 drone platform.
• Write and maintain BitBake recipes and patches for BSP.
• Improve Jenkins pipelines for Yocto firmware builds and artifact management.
• Harden OS, perform patching, and manage security/compliance artifacts.
