Job summary

Zaddy Solutions is seeking an experienced Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack for the MK2 drone platform (Qualcomm QRB5165). You will build, secure, and ship a reliable OS via automated CI/CD pipelines, working with Yocto and BitBake in a headless embedded environment.

The role emphasizes low-level OS internals, patching BSP sources, and optimizing builds for onboard ARM64 hardware.

Qualifications

• Proficient in low-level OS concepts for embedded hardware.
• Experience with Yocto-based builds and image recipes is required.
• Familiar with Linux security hardening and post-build customization.
• Ability to navigate headless devices and limited recovery options.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Linux firmware stack for the MK2 drone platform.
• Develop and maintain BitBake recipes and patches against BSPs.
• Optimize build times and reliability in CI environments.
• Implement OS hardening, post-processing, and secure update workflows.
