Job summary

Inabia Software & Consulting Inc. is seeking a senior Embedded Hardware Engineer in the United States to design and bring up complex boards for client Arrow Electronics.

You will apply your deep experience with processors like i.MX8/i.MX9, ESP32, and STM32, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust hardware solutions. The role emphasizes high-speed design, signal integrity, thermal analysis, EMI/EMC, and compliance testing with FCC, CE, UL standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded hardware/electronics design and PCB development.
• Proficient with i.MX8/i.MX9, ESP32, STM32 or similar MCUs.
• Hands-on experience with interfaces: MIPI DSI/CSI, LVDS, HDMI, USB, SPI, I²C, UART, camera/display.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, Altium/Cadence, BOM, and cost optimization.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed design, SI/PI, thermal analysis, EMI/EMC, and debugging.
• Board bring-up, lab testing, EDVT, functional testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with FCC, IC, CE, UL certifications and compliance testing.
• Experience with suppliers, fabrication/assembly teams, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Sensor boards and integration of motion, temperature, light, accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded hardware and PCBs for new and existing products.
• Work with i.MX8/i.MX9, ESP32, STM32 based platforms.
• Evaluate and implement high-speed interfaces and signal integrity improvements.
• Lead schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM management and cost optimization.
• Perform board bring-up, lab testing, and debugging to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers, fabrication teams, and cross-functional engineers.
