Job summary

Arrow Electronics is seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineer to join our San Jose team onsite. You should bring 5+ years of embedded hardware/electronics design and PCB development, with hands-on work on i.MX8/i.MX9, ESP32, STM32 or similar processors.

You will work on high-speed interfaces (MIPI/CSI, LVDS, HDMI, USB, SPI, I2C, UART) and drive board bring-up, lab testing, and debugging, while ensuring compliance with FCC/IC/CE/UL standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded hardware/electronics design and PCB development.
• Experience with i.MX8/i.MX9, ESP32, STM32 or similar processors.
• Familiarity with high-speed interfaces and primary certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded hardware and PCBs for products.
• Handle high-speed signaling, EMI/EMC, thermal analysis, and debugging.
• Board bring-up, lab testing, and compliance testing preparation.
• Collaborate with suppliers, fabrication/assembly teams, and cross-functional engineers.

WhatYou'llBeDoing:

5+ years of experience in embedded hardware/electronics design and PCB development.

Strong experience with i.MX8/i.MX9, ESP32, STM32 or similar processors/microcontrollers.

Hands-on expertise with MIPI DSI/CSI, LVDS, HDMI, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, and camera/display interfaces.

Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, Altium/Cadence, BOM, component selection, and cost optimization.

Strong knowledge of high-speed design, Signal/Power Integrity, thermal analysis, EMI/EMC, and hardware debugging.

Experience in board bring-up, lab testing, EDVT, functional/performance testing, and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with FCC, IC, CE, UL certifications and resolving issues during compliance testing.

Experience working with suppliers, PCB fabrication/assembly teams, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Experience with sensor boards and integration of motion, temperature, light, accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer sensors is a plus.
