Job summary

Xylem is a global water technology company seeking an experienced embedded hardware engineer to design, develop, and validate control systems for intelligent products. You will create analog/digital circuitry, multi-layer PCBs, and firmware in C/C++, while coordinating with software, firmware, and mechanical teams to ensure robust integration.

The role involves system-level debugging, certifications (EMC/EMI, UL, CE), field support, and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
7+ years of experience in embedded systems, electronic controls, or industrial automation.
Experience with VFDs in pumping, HVAC, or similar applications.
Experience working with global engineering teams and product development processes.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded hardware for control and monitoring systems.
Create schematics, PCB layouts, power management systems, and sensor interfaces.
Coordinate with software, firmware, and mechanical teams for integration and certifications.
Perform system integration, debugging, verification, and field issue resolution.
Travel domestically and internationally (10–20%) for customer support and validation.
