Job summary
Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Sr Embedded Software Engineer for the Flight Management System (FMS) on the Anthem NGA program. You will design, develop, and integrate complex core software for aerospace avionics within a collaborative, high-performance team.
You'll work across systems with engineers and architects to define requirements, review designs, and ensure safety-critical, real-time performance. Experience with C++, OO, Agile/Scrum is essential, as is a passion for advancing aviation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- 6–8+ years of software development experience.
- Strong C++ and/or OO programming skills.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum.
- Strong software architecture and design development skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Core Software architectures for aerospace and avionics systems.
- Integrate Flight Management System (FMS) software into product development programs per system requirements.
- Collaborate with systems engineers and architects to define software requirements.
- Develop software solutions meeting performance, reliability, security, safety, and scalability goals.
- Lead software requirements, design, and code reviews.
- Perform software integration and troubleshooting on hardware test benches.
- Investigate complex issues through debugging and analysis.
- Stay aware of emerging technologies to drive innovation.
- Contribute to a culture of technical excellence across engineering.
