Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer to drive development, integration, verification, and certification of Flight Management System (FMS) solutions for Airbus programs. You will collaborate with Airbus teams to define requirements and resolve issues across software, hardware, and verification domains.

This role requires a strong background in systems engineering, avionics, and embedded systems, plus hands-on experience with DOORS/JIRA and DO-178C processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 5 years of engineering experience in Systems Engineering, avionics, aerospace, and/or embedded systems development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and manage system requirements for Airbus Flight Management System (FMS) functionality.
• Analyze Airbus operational requirements and ensure alignment with FMS system design.
• Support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and interface definition activities.
• Investigate, document, and track system observations and defects using JIRA.
• Support integration, verification, validation, and certification activities.
• Perform system-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with software, navigation, guidance, performance, and V&V teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support customer issue investigations and technical reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and compliance artifacts.
