Job summary

Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the development of embedded flight software and GNC capabilities for an advanced missile platform. This role offers design and integration of mission-critical software operating in real-time environments with strict timing requirements in Huntsville, AL.

You will work at the intersection of software, hardware, and control algorithms to ensure accurate sensor processing, state estimation, and actuator command execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of embedded software development.
• Experience with C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with I&T integration and test.
• Proficient with Linux and Windows development environments.
• Active Secret Clearance Required.
• Ability to work onsite 100%.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded flight software for missile guidance, navigation, and control.
• Design, implement, integrate, and verify real-time software in high-performance environments.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to ensure deterministic execution.
• Support verification, simulation, and flight qualification activities.
