Job summary

You will design, develop and evaluate electronic parts and systems for electrical equipment, working independently to ensure tests are completed to specifications.

The role emphasizes coordinating test activities, training Lab Technicians, and operating high-power test setups with attention to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3-6 years of test and measurement experience required.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
• Working knowledge of regulatory bodies such as UL, CSA and NEC.
• Experience with test and measurement equipment and methodologies for electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling lab assignments and equipment maintenance for efficient test lab utilization.
• Support certification agency representatives in inspection and testing of wiring devices and related products.
• Assist with design and development of test procedures for new products and related test apparatus.
• Review and substantiate data, measurements, and calculations for internal and external representatives.
• Set up with Lab Techs to conduct testing of wiring devices and enclosures.
• Train new Lab Technicians.
• Set up and operate all components in high-power electrical test circuits.
