Job summary

Amazon's Project Kuiper in Redmond, WA is seeking a Firmware Engineer to own embedded firmware for ARM-based SoCs and FPGA platforms, developing drivers and validation for RF and digital subsystems.

You will bring up new hardware, write tests, and collaborate with hardware, RF, and test automation teams to deliver reliable systems at scale. A Bachelor's in CS/CE/EE and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/CE/EE.
• 3+ years embedded firmware development experience.
• Experience with embedded Linux and RTOS environments.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet interfaces.
• Experience debugging embedded systems with JTAG and oscilloscope.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ and Rust for ARM-based SoCs and FPGA platforms.
• Develop device drivers, BSPs, and HALs for peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet).
• Bring up new hardware: validate schematics, debug with lab equipment.
• Build firmware update, telemetry, and diagnostics capabilities.
• Write unit and hardware-in-the-loop tests; integrate firmware into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with hardware, RF, systems, and manufacturing test teams.
