Vitesse Systems, LLC is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer III in Webster, TX. You will develop and troubleshoot hardware and firmware for cutting-edge robotic systems and electromechanical hardware across diverse industries.

The role requires deep expertise in C/C++, Python, Linux, and real-time firmware, with hands-on experience in hardware bring-up, testing, and integration. ITAR/compliance and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related robotics field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience developing production-grade firmware and embedded software with electromechanical hardware focus.
• Experience testing, validating, and managing firmware deployments for products in the field.

Responsibilities

• Write code for firmware, drivers, and embedded devices.
• Hands-on bring-up and integration of electromechanical systems and devices (motors, actuators, sensors).
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to support board bring-up, integration, and testing.
• Translate hardware requirements into firmware/software requirements.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, deadlines, and documentation.
• Continuously improve technical skills and processes; mentor peers.
