Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Sr. Firmware Engineer to support Global Rack Power Distribution products. You will design, implement, and test high-quality C/C++ code for real-time embedded systems and contribute to architecture decisions.

You will work with cross-functional teams across design, test, product, and quality to ensure on-time delivery, maintainability, and scalable firmware for high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with analog to digital conversion – sensors.
• Experience with microcontrollers and peripheral development.
• Experience with troubleshooting own firmware using the right tools.
• Proficient in C and coding best practices for portable, reusable software.
• Experience with RTOS integration, e.g., FreeRTOS.
• Experience managing concurrency in real-time environments.
• Ability to balance processing, memory, I/O, timing in small microcontrollers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, safety-critical C/C++ code for real-time embedded platforms.
• Design software architecture with quality, testability, and maintainability for high-volume manufacturing.
• Develop firmware for rack power distribution products measuring sensors and controlling power.
• Diagnose and resolve defects in sustaining activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, management, and project leads to meet priorities and budgets.
• Keep organized project records and documentation.
• Engage in design reviews, verification, and field validation.
