Job summary

Fruition Group US in the Bay Area is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead the device platform migration. This onsite role focuses on establishing an internal firmware platform, build pipelines, and long-term ownership of production devices.

You will collaborate with the current vendor during handover, build and sign firmware, implement OTA updates, and help define release processes while improving reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded firmware engineering experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming and embedded Linux experience.
• Experience with OTA updates, secure boot and firmware signing.
• Ability to collaborate with external vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Migrate device firmware from a third-party vendor to internal ownership.
• Work with the vendor to understand the existing codebase, architecture and update mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain internal firmware build and signing pipelines.
• Collaborate with Engineering Services on unified OTA updates across the device fleet.
• Help establish firmware release processes, version control and rollback procedures.
• Contribute to the reliability, security and maintainability of production firmware.
