Job summary

Space Technology in Dallas-based operations seeks a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join a team building high-reliability embedded systems for a lunar mission. The role focuses on from power-up to firmware and system-level integration.

You will develop firmware in C/C++, work with ARM MCUs, DSPs and FPGA-based systems, and implement drivers and RTOS features across the stack with a strong emphasis on reliability and secure updates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded firmware/software development.
• Experience with ARM processors, MCUs, DSPs and FPGA-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel architecture and secure boot processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware and low-level embedded software using C/C++.
• Work across microcontrollers, CPUs, DSPs and FPGA-based systems.
• Develop and maintain low-level device drivers, including I2C, SPI and GPIO interfaces.
• Work with FreeRTOS and other real-time embedded operating systems.
• Support BSP development, board bring-up and hardware validation.
• Integrate and control Wi‑Fi and 5G/LTE modules for real-time, deterministic applications.
• Work closely with hardware teams to debug and validate board-level functionality.
• Optimise system performance across CPU, DSP, FPGA, memory and power.
