Job summary

Lunar Energy is seeking a Staff Embedded Firmware Engineer to shape the intelligence inside our hardware, delivering reliable and efficient devices for homes worldwide. You will own code across the full embedded stack—from bootloader to high-level firmware—working in a fast-moving team where your contributions have visible impact.

In this role you will develop firmware for hardware devices, optimize at the edge, and collaborate on system architecture, RTOS porting, and end-to-end integration

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Experience with C in bare-metal systems and/or RTOS.
• Firmware control for power electronics.
• Ability to integrate hardware and software end-to-end.
• Comfortable in a small, fast-moving team with ownership.
• Proficient in Git and CI practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware for Lunar hardware devices and edge optimization.
• Design, code, and test sub-systems on constrained hardware.
• Write code across bootloader to high-level firmware with build tooling.
• Port and maintain RTOS; integrate with other Lunar components.
• Lead design discussions on architecture and collaborate in reviews.
• Support testing, reliability, and manufacturing with debugging features.
• Review performance data from internal and external test sites.
