Flipturn, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a senior firmware/software engineer to advance the Flipturn Controller, an on-site control computer that coordinates EV chargers, batteries, and utility programs.

You’ll drive major features, gather customer feedback, and help shape the engineering culture within Einride. The role blends firmware, embedded Linux build tooling (Yocto), board bring-up, and full-stack work to deliver end-to-end energy management solutions with AI-assisted development

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience with firmware development.
• Experience with embedded Linux systems – build tooling (Yocto or similar), bootloaders, and board bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Integrating EV charging with on-site batteries and generators, utility programs, and other sources of control.
• Upgrading our embedded Linux systems, including build tooling (Yocto or similar), bootloaders, and board bring-up.
• Firmware and full-stack improvements to Flipturn's energy management platform, e.g., enabling customer participation in programs to accelerate deployments.
