Job summary

Edwards Vacuum LLC is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join a cross-functional team developing cryogenic vacuum pumps and chillers. You will implement multi-threaded embedded software, modify legacy code, and work with RTOS like FreeRTOS to optimize real-time performance.

You will design test suites, support on-site testing with cryopumps and chillers, and collaborate with hardware and SQA teams to deliver reliable, right-first-time solutions.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate possesses degree in Computer, Software, or Electrical Engineering
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Linux
• Experience with embedded controls and real-time data processing

Responsibilities

• Detail requirements, firmware implementation, integration, and some level of system testing in Edwards cryogenic vacuum pumps and chillers
• Develop and design multi-threaded embedded application for Cryogenics Pumps and Compressors
• Develop test suites for validation and testing
• Maintain and management of source code
• Hands-on testing with cryopumps, cryochillers, and compressors in lab environment
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies to ensure team effectiveness
