Job summary

Philips is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Bothell, WA to design, document, and implement embedded software for high-volume medical devices, providing technical leadership and mentoring teammates while integrating AI-assisted coding tools into workflows.

You will develop low-level drivers and peripheral interfaces in FreeRTOS, create unit and automated tests, review schematics, and collaborate with hardware and cross-functional teams to ensure release readiness; office-based role

Qualifications

5+ years of embedded software with microcontrollers and driver development.
Experience integrating AI-assisted coding tools into development workflows.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software-related fields; ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and mentor teammates in embedded projects.
Develop low-level drivers and peripheral interfaces (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI, ADC, PWM, timers) in FreeRTOS.
Create and maintain unit tests and automated tests to validate firmware and ensure release readiness.
