Job summary

Philips in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer with C++ to drive drivers, diagnostic, and embedded software for intravascular ultrasound systems. You will collaborate with electrical, transducer, software, and ultrasound engineers to architect and implement software for medical capital equipment and ensure seamless hardware–software interfaces.

This onsite role requires 8+ years of experience, strong OO C++, and the ability to create detailed design documents; DSP and CUDA

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in software/embedded development, preferably in medical electronics.
Strong object-oriented programming language design and coding in C++.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
Experience creating detailed design documentation (specifications, design descriptions, verification and testing plans).
Knowledge of digital signal processing and image processing; CUDA knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, and develop driver, diagnostic, and embedded software for intravascular ultrasound systems.
Create software requirement specifications, architecture documents, and detailed design documents.
Interface with cross-disciplinary teams to refine design requirements for next-generation devices.
Develop and debug driver and embedded software to enable communication between hardware and application software using C++.
