Job summary
Philips in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer with strong C++ to drive driver, diagnostic, and embedded software for intravascular ultrasound systems. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to refine requirements and implement robust software for medical capital equipment.
The role is office-based in San Diego, with in-person collaboration and a focus on delivering detailed design documentation and high-quality software.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software/embedded software development experience, preferably medical electronics.
- Proficient in object-oriented design and C++ programming.
- BS or MS in CS/EE/BME or related field.
- Experience creating detailed design docs (specifications, design docs, verification plans); CUDA knowledge a plus.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop driver, diagnostic, and embedded software for intravascular ultrasound systems.
- Create software requirements, architecture, and design documents.
- Design, develop, and debug driver and embedded software for hardware-software interfaces in C++.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, hardware, software, catheter design, and manufacturing.
- Contribute to development of medical capital equipment.
