Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in the Los Angeles area for a full-time, hybrid role. You will contribute to radio and research projects, handling drivers, networking, encryption, and security features across ARM and RISC-V platforms.

The role requires a BS in EE or CS, 5+ years embedded C/Linux kernel experience, and a US citizenship due to government contracts. On-site three days per week: Mon, Wed, Thu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required.
• 5+ years of embedded system software development experience.
• Expertise in C programming and Linux kernel driver development.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of software portion of MAC (Medium Access Control) and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols.
• Network management software and web interface implementation.
• Implementation of different security protocols and encryption algorithms.
• Audio streaming and push to talk voice application implementation.
• Analyze and improve product security and robustness to meet regulatory requirements such as NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP Common Criteria.
• Implementation of testing software for product performance and reliability testing.
• Device driver and board support package development and maintenance for ARM and RISC-V based systems.
• Linux system customization and scripting.
